Terms & Conditions: Paul Effman Music Service, Inc. (PEMS) – Education Services

  1. Tuition is due the last day of each month. The 2026–2027 school year consists of 9 installments (including the one paid at registration); late registrants will receive a prorated number of installments. Returned checks incur a $25 fee. Payments more than 30 days past due may result in late fees, credit bureau reporting, and removal from the program.
  2. Autopay: Registration enrolls you in Autopay for tuition and instrument rental (if applicable), authorizing your card to be charged on or about the last day of each month. To cancel, indicate in payment section above or call (800) 921-4543 or email info@pemusic.com
  3. By providing your email address, you consent to receive communications from PEMS.
  4. By providing a credit card and completing registration, you authorize PEMS and its payment processor (PAYA) to charge it for current and past-due balances.
  5. Photos from concerts and classes may be used on PEMS and school websites.
  6. Participants assume all risks of participation. You hereby release and discharge PEMS, its employees, officers, and affiliated personnel from all liability, claims, and demands arising from any loss, damage, injury, or death to you, your child(ren), or family members while participating in the program.
  7. Completing registration and signing this registration form constitutes agreement to all terms herein.
  8. No refunds for early returns (instrument rental only).
  9. Damage Protection (included with all rentals): The PEMS Damage Protection Plan (four dollars per month, included) provides assurance that your child’s rental instrument is covered for any accidental damage. This plan covers any damage to the instrument, excluding willful damage, loss, or theft. This plan does not cover accessories included with the rental (instrument rental only).
  10. You agree to pay the replacement value of $350 for lost or stolen instruments (instrument rental only).
  11. Rental instruments must be returned on or before the last lesson of the 2026–2027 school year, unless renewed for the next school year. You are responsible for missing parts, willful damage, vandalism, loss, and theft. A late fee will be charged to returns after June 30, 2027 (instrument rental only).
  12. Instruments must be returned in good condition, less normal wear (instrument rental only).
